I have reached pre menopause and my body has gone all over the place …..

noticed couple of days I’ve been weeing more when I go to the toilet

Bought a glucose machine off Amazon only cheap

But I’m worried about my readings …. This morning fasting was 5.8 , Had cereal banana 2 cups of tea ….. 2 hours later my level was only 4.5 is this normal should I check again later in the day ?

You have nothing to worry about. If you are weeing more due to diabetes your levels will be high, not lower after food.

7.8 mmol/L and 11.0 mmol/L is diagnosed as prediabetes. 200 mg/dL (11.1 mmol/L ) or higher after two hours suggests diabetes.

ooh ok Thankyou when I googled normal range non diabetic it says up to 5.6 above that is pre diabetic …… was only 5.2 today though

Thankyou yes that was the site that said normal range 5.6 above that pre diabetes 🤷‍♀️ but then after eating it went down & was only 6.1 after main meal at night & 5.2 first thing this morning so Im guessing I’m not in pre diabetic range xx

it wouldn’t come down on its own would it if I was pre diabetic ?

I would think it would keep going up. When I was diagnosed I was over 20! But if you are worried ask your GP for a HBA1c blood test. That give you a average range over 3 months Xx

going to enquired about well woman check I think they do blood pressure & blood test & test urine x
