T2 Going From Oral Meds To Insulin Fatigue

Has anyone experienced heavy arms and fatigue

that won’t go away after going from oral meds to

DKA / hospital stay then put on insulin?

My wife has been struggling with extreme low energy within two months of being released from the hospital and taken off of Jardiance, Metformin and Glimperide. This has been going on for seven months.

Because her BG count was 530 at the hospital we

are thinking nerve damage but can’t get three Neurologists to diagnose her condition.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Can you suggest anything to resolve or improve

this debilitating fatigue?

530 is really high. My doctor told me anything above 300 and I would feel bad. At 400 she said I should feel much worse and should contact her or even go to the emergency room. I've never hit 500 but I was close to it. I felt terrible but sleeping and not eating sweet things (even fruit) helped me get it back down. I have read though that high blood glucose levels can cause liver issues which can then cause fatigue.

My fatigue: I get up at 4 am, back to sleep around 7 am, up around 11 am, back to sleep at 4 pm, awake at 7 pm but then go to sleep from 9pm-4am. And typically no problem getting back to sleep for any of these naps. I don't do this every day because I work Monday thru Friday. But Saturday is my sleep/nap day. My hibernation phase, I guess. Insulin is helping to get my numbers lower, a 200 average now instead of over 300.
