Had my 13-YRO T-Tube grommet removed and new one put in put in last week, still feel nauseous/ill...is this normal or to be expected?

Is this normal to still be in pain / feeling like this a 9 days after?

Last Wednesday I had my old T-bar Grommet removed from my ear and another new T-bar Grommet inserted straight after.

I was awake and was done with a general anaesthetic injection in the affected ear.

The ear was badly infected due to the degradation of the old grommet and because it moved at an angle in my ear as I've had it in my ear for around 13 years.

This had been why me and the Ears-Nose-Throat (ENT) specialist consultant agreed to removed the old one and replace with a new one.

I've been using Ciprofloxacin as prescribed but my ear still feels very tender, sore and is making feel incredibly nauseous still. Moving around makes this feeling worse.

Last Saturday up until now I had felt better. Today I woke up extremely headachy and my head is spinning, the ear has randomly started to become painful again.

The consultant said I should feel side affects but as far as I am aware some side effects of being headachy, in pain and nauseous for the first 2-days.

I've had to have many temporary Grommets as a kid but they didn't help / my hearing went downhill after they came out so in 2010 , I had a more long standing Grommet put in which has helped to maintain a good (for what deafness i have) level of hearing
