Can anyone tell me if the sound enhancer should be set on each hearing option. For instance, the all around and speech clarity. My default is all around but no enhancer settings. Noise reduction does have enhancer settings. Same goes for each program, only one item in each catogary is set with enhancer.

Anyone else having problem with aids not connecting to app. Just lately I have to switch Bluetooth off and back on again for the app to connect.

Any tips gratefully received.

Hi I can certainly say with total confidence, the IOS 13.3.3, needs up dating, remove aids from phone, delete App, make sure IOS updates are complete, the App 3D has been updated, so reinstall App which has been updated, then reconnect Aids to phone, and then your away....all these sound enhancing bits are in the ear of the beholder, but yes they should be on, but perhaps not in loud noise reduction

Many thanks GR. iOS 13.3.3 was updated last night. Connection was better today but I will re-install the app. It seems that Apple hit the jackpot with bugs on their recent so called update. Have resounds decided not to go ahead with the ASSIST in UK? As far as the enhance is concerned, I guess using favourites is the way to go until I get a visit from audiologist.

There is cloud assist, but only for audio metric changes, and it’s limited to couple changes a month, you should phone or visit dispenser for advice on connections, I only knew when one of my customers popped in, because I have a open door policy where people can walk in and I’ll see them time permitting and he had connection problems and I phoned Resound and they told me, there is also a update on aids as well, so Aids should be connected to do this, but I would do this if someone come in, that can’t be done on cloud

Once again, many thanks GR. I have now removed my aids from iPad, and paired them again. Deleted the app and reinstalled it. Now I will go to the phone and do the same with a little more confidence. I have previously deleted the app and reinstalled it but, not removed the aids from the settings before! All seems well on the iPad. You are a star - thanks. I will ask my audiologist about the cloud assist.

Not totally fixed. Any idea why, nearly every time I go into the app, I to to switch Bluetooth off and then back on. I keep forgetting to say I am mostly talking about iPad, my preferred device for sight impaired. I also use the iPad for phone calls rather than iPhone.

Sorry about the endless questions, I hope other members are also benefiting from the information you have so kindly given.

Hi, my suggested answer is the HearingAids need the New Firmware Update which improves connectivity, with the New App and Apple Update, I would get the new firmware, like all things digital everything needs to be synced, I know it’s a pain but I’d phone dispenser to get H A updated

My audiologist has replied that Resound does not know of any firmware update. Suggesting my aids could be returned to Resound to be checked out. What do you think?

There’s been firmware updates on all nearly all Aids, I done one today on a resound 3D 5 ite, one on Wednesday on 3D 9 ric so updates are common on the newer aids, when they are hooked up it tells you....New Firmware Available, So can’t say what anyone else say, yours may have latest firmware I don’t know, connection problems which have just happened, because they have been ok, is all down to iOS update, which interfered with the app, so just tap updates on iPad to see if the patch is there, it will not show on the settings icon, but I would hook up Aids Anyway just to reset them, just read and save, I don’t know nothing about your Aids so I’m only suggesting things to try, but your dispenser should do that it’s his job.

My aids are Linx 3D9 a little over a year old.

My guess was also that the Apple update of IOS has caused the problem - I didn't have the problem before the update. Now watching a program on iPlayer the sound is very hit and miss. If it was a live program it would be nearly finished by the time I eventually get the sound!!

I have today sent an email to a contact I have at Resound asking him to confirm if there is a firmware update. I haven't had a reply yet. I didn't feel it would be quite the thing to do, to tell my audiologist that another audiologist told me about the firmware. Yesterday, his reply to me was "Resound don't know of any firmware update".

I cannot tell you how very grateful I am that you have taken the time to give me so much information.

That's OK, I understand you have sight problem as well, nothing worse than not hearing and hardly seeing, there's a Old Saying..."Let me put my glasses on so I can HEAR you" and the aids you have are like, powerful, so it's important to look after clients like you, it's nothing to hook up aids and check them out, and reconnect because of a ios update failure, it's OK for Tech Savvy people, but my wife gets confused on the telephone when she has to press 1/2/3, so it's not easy when you have to fiddle about with apps and connections and updates, hence you have a Dispenser to do that for you, that's what you pay for, and Hearing Aids are not cheap, sometimes you get silly things, but silly things give me a living.

Now that did put a smile on my face!! I can remember saying those very words when my hearing loss first started. It really did help to hear better with glasses on!! Must be magic.

Best wishes’
