'At the moment I'm really feeling the rotten effects of it... ie: the effects of the cycles of the talking is making me feel very bad. I know to leave the Radio on to be able to get used to the sounds so that I become very used to them! However I am very new to this, therefore I would be very grateful if there is someone... who give me more information on what I could do... next to help me now?

Hi Lyndylou, I don't know if I can be of any help I'm afraid, just want to say "hang on in there" as I know how down I get about my ears some days too. I'm just "mutton jeff" and wear h.aids both ears, have been for 25 years or so, but I also suffer from tinnitus too, although I find more comfort in having quietness around me than being anywhere noisy. I struggle if I go for a day or two with lots of noise and the company of others around me, and I crave solitude just for peace and a rest as I find it incredibly exhausting with aids at times, so the same goes for your condition I guess? Hope you can find someone on here to help with a similar condition to you. Try not to let it get you down.
