It's A New Year With New Aspirations (But The Same Old Parkinsons Disease)

It's a new year and time to clean the slate and start again with new goals and dreams. All the acomplishments and milestones reached in 2011 can be forgotten, while 2012 and all it has in store is, at best, a life in question. Health questions abound and I really have no idea of the answers that might present themselves as I move confidently thoughout the months ahead.

But I know that as I move through the upcoming year, I must remain positive and optmistic taking the good with the bad, since it appears I really have no other choice. Parkinsons Disease 'is what it is', and the sooner I learn to accept this, the better off I will be.

I will continue to have hope for advancements in the field of research, because hope is critical. It was once said that if you have your health you have everything. This is not exactly true. I feel that if you have hope you are much better off!

March ahead with hope and let the universe handle all the details!!

Happy New Year. Hope is everything. Without hope we would fall onto the abyss.

Happy New Year! Thank you for taking the time to write your blogs. I am a "newbie" having been diagnosed on Dec 1, 2011. Your blogs are informative, yet in a humanistic, personal way. I have learned more about PD through blogs such as yours than reading the medical material that has been given to me. Don't get me wrong, I think it is important to educate myself about this disease; but the resources out there do not include the humanistic side...just the clinical side. Again, thank you for sharing your journey, and I hope that 2012 is a good year for you!

what u wrote is so very true. i guess we can never totally wipe our slates clear but as long as we believe in tomorrow and what the furture will bring our way we will continue to try and clean the slate a little. the support and information gained on these pages and the friends made from all over with the same wish of hope and help that is coming our way with all the research will make this year of 2012 a brighter and happier one for all of us in some way. God Bless you and the researchers and all of us who believe in each other. HAPPY NEW YEAR !
