Slept in this morning, but after rising I couldn't get my feet under me. I stretched and moved around as much as I could but no dice. In fact I was getting worse and worse. This being Thanksgiving my wife was counting on me to help her prepare dinner but I couldn't. She was exasperated which wasn't good for my symptoms. The kids fled to the basement. I tried to peel a potato and she was so afraid I'd cut my wrist that she stopped me. Finally, I said I'd take my noon meds early to try and be of some use to her, so I opened up my pill case and --- oh my God! -- I hadn't taken any meds all morning! ... I didn't dare tell her.

Hi, love your story Michael. That forgetfulness is very familiar. I think there are a number of apps available now. The one I know of is called PD Life App. If you visit the Parkinson Movement home site and do a search you will find a blog written on 9th October with links. If you have trouble finding it do post here again.
Thank you, Hikoi. I found it and will try it out.

Are either of these available on Android? I have an Android phone with me all the time, so Android is fine. I also have an iPod touch v4, so I could use it there, but the phone is preferred.
I checked the Android market and Amazon's Android apps. I found several PD books that were in the apps lists, but I prefer the sound of the app that also helps you track your condition.
It's only on iTunes so it'll work on your iTouch but not your Android. Of course, you could write and ask if they have any plans for it. Go to ... parkinsonrockies.org/commun...
Michael I too am ashamed of my condition sometimes and do not tell my wife when I feel incomplete or screw something up. I didn't tell her about my daignosis for 5 months. It is my problem not hers, she is kind and understanding, but it gets to be too much for her, in my mind anyway. I try to communicate better but ...
Hi
I have been using the app from Itunesv and the Parkinsons Group of the Rockies, for a couple weeks now and I do like it so far. I put in each medication I take and the times and it reminds me and then if I ignore it or don't hear it at that time it tries again in about 15 minutes and follows up with asking how i feel and are meds on or off . It also has along list of slide effects you click if you have, and list of PD effects such as diskinisia... If I do not answer at all, it comes on before next med time and asks if meds were skipped , taken on time or taken late. This info so far as I read from them, is being used only in Colorado and soon to go to Nebraska and Wyoming...not positive on that. The app was a quick put together And is being tested here..but they may have opened it to everyone by niw , I do not know for sure.
I tried the app but didn't like it and deleted it. My main problem is that I'm supposed to take my first dose either at 6am or whenever I get up and then take my other doses every three hours after that. The time settings on the app were kind of a pain to set up and hard to reset, so if I get up after 6 all my doses seem late. I'll just keep using the timer on my cell phone.
