Part is certainly due to the fact you have first to get used again to the wii and the games using the board.
Part maybe due to underdosage. But this should be considered as an option only when you got back up the learning curve.
The wii is a good thing because it can help get moving while having fun. It should certainly not be a subject of frustration. Monitoring can be accurate only if you compare apples to apples. Play a game you like and see over a "long" period of time if some parameters may need adjustment.
Why don't you start with the games you like and that you don't feel difficult (the two are often connected). Then you can see from there if you feel like pushing the enveloppe a little bit.
Hope this help in some ways.
Cheers
I find that my balance has greatly improved using the Wii fit and its good fun. I can't do all the games but have selected a few and over time have improved to the extent that I can knock family members off the leader board. It is also good for self esteem to actually occasionally to be better than the "well" members of the family.
Give it a go again, selecting a couple of games as been suggested.
I have been diagnosed for 9 years and do feel that using the Wii fit has significantly improved my balance and general fitness.
