FROM CURRENT ONGOING EXPERIENCE IT IS YOU, THE PD VICTIM, WHO IS WOUNDED. JUST MAKE SURE THE KNIFE IS SHARP. IT IS MUCH LESS PAINFUL WHEN IT PENETRATES THE SKIN. AND MAKE SURE IT IS HER WHO LEAVES - YOU HAVE ENOUGH TO DO JUST GETTING ON WITH YOUR "NORMAL" (MEANING USUAL) LIFE, WITHOUT HAVING TO FIND YOUR WAY AROUND A NEW ENVIRONMENT, TO AND FROM SHOPS, SOCIAL GROUPS ETC. -- YOUR HUSBAND/WIFE IS GETING THE BETTER DEAL, LET THEM GET ON WITH THEIR NEW LIFE. THEY STILL HAVE THE MOBLITY, THE ABILITY.

AND NOW YOU CAN RELAX IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE GOT RID OF THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE TO YOU LIVING YOUR LIFE THE BEST WAY THAT YOU CAN FOR YOU.

GOOD LUCK.

hear, hear!

So lucky I got rid of my millstone before I got PD. Since everything was all about HIM! I dream about him still, but I'm in charge of me.

It seems selfishness now plays a big part in people who's lives are afflicted with Chronic Disease. I can understand a couple who are not married splitting up over it.

However, If one is married and took vows i.e. in sickness and in health surely the vows hold as if they were law, perhaps not legal law, but certainly moral law (if there is such a thing)

If we live long enough infirmity comes to us all in the end. The one who abandons will eventually become the abandoned also.

Thats life.

So true. My late ex died all alone in a public park apparently on the way to the hospital. I bear no grudge toward him nor any pity. I'm grateful I can still take care of myself and have caring friends and loving family (even when they tell me "mom, stop calling me unless it's an emergency"!

I had to go all the way to central Brasil to marry - some commitment !!!!!!. I vote to make it a proper law - i can truthfully say that seeing her led away in handcuffs was worth millions.
