Nothing to do with Parkinsons

A number of people have been kind enough to express interest in the Christening of two of my grandchildren which took place yesterday so I thought I would write a quick update.

For once, it was a lovely sunny day. We were in charge of the children while their parents went to the reception venue to set up the food. My son phoned to say that he had gone to collect the sandwiches, which were being made by a well known Supermarket - only to be told they were not ready. Panic set in!! He had to wait for them, while my husband and daughter in law set up the Hall. I looked after the children.

Chaos reigned. Eventually, with half an hour to spare, my husband and I arrived home to get ready. Phone call from daughter, who was a Godparent, but rather unwell. Stuck in traffic jam with our older grandaughter.. Meanwhile, I was searching for ways not to look so fat in my outfit!! No success, I am afraid.

Luckily. things worked out as everything fell into place. The babtism service was lovely. Grandaughter, aged 4, was angelic, while Grandson, 6 months slept through it all. And best of all, I had an almost tremor free day. Even though I was exhausted. And we still have Christmas to come.

I hope everyone has a good Christmas and that the New Year will be as trouble and pain free as possible

Sue
