yes, i agree that this is for the proessionals. but the number 56 has triggered how mine were set up by my then GP, and it might help calculating what you need.

My GP offered me what he called Batch Prescriptions, i.e. 12 weeks' supply in the form of 3 prescriptions dispensed one every 4 weeks. The bundle included a "master" scrip, which, along with the "staged" dispensing ones, are held at the pharmacy. What you are getting is not monthly, it is only enough to cover 28 days. I presume you are on 2 a day?

My own little trick was to go for the renewal scrip 3 or 4 days early, until you eventually build up a hidden reserve. This way, I now have a 4-week cover of all my meds which only you and I know about (and the other nearly 2000 people on this site) plus my Neuro bod.

I also use this cache to enable me to juggle the doses in a minor way if I feel it is needed (only ever by one tablet up or down) I will add that my Neuro approves, and he says that he can get a better idea of where I am at than waiting until each 6-month appoinment.

So, to get back to where we started, your 56 tablets are two a day for 4 weeks, not for a calendar month.

If you have a rapport with your pharmacist talk to him. Ask what you need your script to say to get the proper amount. He knows that you cannot cold turkey off these without major problems. Can you get emergency holdover pills until this is corrected? Best of luck
