Both of my hands are painful most of the time. My fingers also lock sometimes. I am thankful though because they're not as bad as my feet. My toes are curled under and it can be quite painful. Does anyone have a solution for hurting hands or feet that will help doggie and myself?

I, also, have finger pain and fingers locking. I also have back pain and leg pain, for which I do exercises given by my physio. Also, occasional leg cramps, Think it goes with the territory? I, also, would be grateful for any solutions as I do a lot of knitting - useful when I cannot sleep and locking fingers are not helpful for this. I do not have these symptoms all the time but they are still annoying. No problems with toes yet, but there is time!!

I have one dided at present so stiffness and locking in 2 or 3 fingers and nodule on one at the knuckle. One toe curled under and wont budge! All i do is try to exercise and massage and wearing wider shoes or sandals. Went to hand sp ,he told me nothing wrong just I lacked a joie de vivre! Go out and have a wild time he said! ..unless it was frozen hand as id had frozen shoulder before.

Lucky you being able to knit..I struggle skowly...have been knitting my partner a scarf for 2 seaons now! I want to do things for my grandchildren. I think pain could be arthritic..use anti inflammatories or turmeric and cayenne!

I find it hard to hold a phone nowadays and lots of pain in hands arms knees neck etc

I am told by my Neurologist it has nothing to do with Parkinsons.

I presume it is arthritis

I was told the same thing-good old Arthur Ritis!(arthritis) My mom had a name for all her ailments, she said it made her feel better, that by giving it a name,it was a friend not an enemy. It worked for her!! It makes me smile and think of my mom,and things dont seem so bad.

I am newly diagnosed. I blamed Artur-Itis for lots of my symptoms.. trouble buttoning blouses , trouble shuffling cards when I play canasta and excruciating pain that contorts my left hand. I noticed that holding cards or a book for a long period brings on the pain. I am not on meds yet. I see my Neuro in another week and expect that I will get some RX. at that time. Any ideas or suggestions that I might try? thank you

Your symptoms sound like Parkinsons not arthritis to me. Have you started meds yet Jan and are they helping?

I have the same problem with my hands and I , too, do a lot of knitting. I have a Parafin bath that really helps! It is called ParaSpa Plus and it is made by HoMedics. You plug it in and the wax melts. You then dip your hands in and the hot wax coats yhem. You leave it on for a while and then peel it off. The stiffness is gone for quite a while. It is worth a try. :)

Definitely physical therapy, stretching, magnesium helps my curling toes, when I remember to take it. I'm not familiar with botox, but a number of patients at my neuro's office get it for dystonia in different parts.

Pain in the joints of the fingers of my right hand, painful to make a fist...doc says arthritis, but I doubt it. Pain ii toes of right foot too, weakness and soreness of left arm, and lately a tendency to curl toes. Will see neuroo in two weeks, see what he says. But I am pretty sure it's all PD related.

Maybe getting Porkinson's wasn't such a great idea after all!

I have artritus in my hands so most things are pretty painful, not much to do there. In my feet and legs I have a lot of cramping And toes doing things they weren't designed to do. My neuro said it is Dystonia and for that I take Amantadine, in the last 3 months it has made a tremondous difference in a good way. Unfortunately it starts to wear off in early morning whivh causes waking early, and alot of fatique.
