Stages of PD

I have been stage one for 7 years. Is there a chance I would always

be stage one? Or is it just a matter of time. Thanks

The simple answer is-we don"t know. All indivuals are different. You might be lucky, and stay as you are indefinitly. On the other hand.....

Best advice is to keep monitering yourself, and have regular check ups with your GP/Specialist.

Lucky you......I wouldn't worry about any other stages, just take one day at a time and smell the roses.....what's your secret?

Praise God!!! My dr a Rush in Chicago told me right after diagn something I repeat everyday. "you may never get any worse than you are today!". That was January 2003. I have a tiny bit. The word stages is an ugly word. It means to expect more to me. Let's dont do that. It only invites worry and stress. I am so happy for your good health!!

We don't know what Stage my husband is at and I'm not sure I want to know. It seems so arbitrary. I know many people who are doing great on low dose meds and others who are constantly tweaking their meds because they haven't found the right combination yet. It is a strange condition and hjopefully one day they will be able to cure for everyone.

Right, everybody's different. First thing my neuro told me is 'don't let it progress!'!!! I noticed a progression after a bout of bronchitis a year ago. Graduated from cane to walker. But I'm walking in the Parkinson's Unity Walk on Sat. April 28th on Team BOLD MOVES.

I don't know about stages. I don't have any tremors or pain. I have great difficulty in walking and just getting around. Balance is really bad. My mind isn't doing too well either. Can't remember names, and the word I want to use. So what stage is this. Difficulty in typing. Can't really do anything that requires a lot og mocement.

Nice to hear some good news, and my sympathy for those more deeply afflicted.
