YI had a blood test with ALT < 9IU, which is considered abnormal, but vitamin B6 always comes out well, even without taking vitamin B supplements

I give 20 mg P5P (active form of vitamin B6) regularly for the last three years to my Mom who has PD ( doctors sometimes say parkinson plus syndrome). She has very low ALT (5,5 U/L) compared to AST (27,5 U/L) in the last lab reports. Her general health is better than previous years. My mıthers condition does not consistent with this pubmed publication. I dont know why? I also wonder why her ALT is so lower. I give lots of supplements also like NAC, , Vitamin C, lions mane mushroom, CTP, high dose B1, lithium orotate as I learned from this wonderful group.

"Having a lower than normal ALT result is uncommon and usually isn’t a cause for concern"

But in the rest of that statement CC says that.'.. a lower than normal ALT level could indicate a vitamin B6 deficiency or chronic kidney disease'Murat

True. If this is of concern her doctor test for these issues. Her vitamin B6 level should be good.

Ayşegül hanım,What do you mean by your mom's general health is better than before? Does she suffer less of tremors, rigidity, dyskinesia (if she had) or in gait issues? Also I wonder how much levodopa she takes per day, and whether she reduced her dopa intake after she has been on P5P?
