I put this question to DeepSeek . After a detailed analysis which can be obtained from their web version as well by pasting this question, I am copying paste the two sentences conclusion as follows:

Diet alone cannot treat Parkinson’s, but pearl millet’s unique profile makes it a strategic addition to a brain-healthy, anti-inflammatory diet

The article starts with Pearl Millet (Bajra) then muddies the water by going 'general' and not specific to Pearl Millet.

A diet high in whole grains such as bajra can....

Farooqji, did you also run the question through chatgpt and Gemini for comparison? Which was most correct or accurate?

Google: Who should not eat pearl millet?

If you have digestive issues, thyroid issues or have a history of grain allergies, then it is recommended to avoid excessive consumption of millet. Consult your doctor or nutritionist before making any significant changes to your diet.

The findings of the review indicate that published literature on the association of pearl millet and increased goiter prevalence are not compelling and strong enough to assert that pearl millet consumed as part of a balanced diet can lead to goiter in the general population. To ensure appropriate factual messaging about millets, we need more scientific research to conclusively state whether millet consumption mediates goitrogenic effects.

Reduces your risk of dying from inflammatory diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis, gout, asthma, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease) are examples of inflammatory diseases. The Iowa Women’s Health Study found that women who ate two or more servings daily of whole grains had a 30% less chance of dying from an inflammation-related condition.

And there is always causation, correlation, chance, fraud, and incompetence. Sometimes you have to flip a coin and follow your gut. Maybe I will get a magic 8 ball.

Gluten-free properties of Millets

Millets are inherently gluten-free. They are small-seeded cereal grains and a part of the Poaceae family. However, unlike wheat, they may lack the gluten proteins. This difference indicates that these cereals may not cause adverse effects in those with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity.

That said, millets contain other non-gluten proteins as well as dietary fibre. This makes the ancient crop easily digestible and a great addition to a nutritious meal; all while adhering to dietary restrictions.

So I have added comments on both sides of Pearl Millet. From what I see Pearl Millet looks like a healthy anti-inflammatory food for PwP. I'll do more research before I add it to my diet.

quinoa is good!

Neither. For real health, we need to be grain-free.

Buckwheat, quinoa and amaranth are pseudo grains that are much better for our health.

In case of PD I would avoid all gluten and even all Neu5gc foods. Why: you have leaky brain + leaky gut. All those foods are very pro-inflammatory. Heal leaky gut + restore microbiome + reduce inflammation + heal toxic brain. Very good info about this at Dr. Jockers website.

I don't eat any grains at all, not even rice, and I don't miss it. Modern wheat is little more than starch and gluten, neither of which is vital for human health, indeed carbs are not vital foe human health. Gluten causes leaky gut and is often blamed for autoimmune diseases and many say that PD is an autoimmune disease. Starch is nothing more than a bunch of glucose losely bonded together and contributes to T2 diabetes. It isn't a healthy food.

Most important; consume grains that are not treated with pesticides. I opt for an organic 7 grain cereal produced on a small farm in my state.
