Yesterday my sister visited me in the afternoon. We had a good conversation. After she left, i rested for a couple of hours, then got a burst of energy and took my clothes down to the laundry. Met another resident in the building and had an animated conversation.
In all of that, i forgot to take my 6:30 pm dose. I felt no different near bedtime 9pm ish, when i found my pillbox and saw the pills still there! And i actually felt a bit better than usual, until i realized my mistake and got anxious!
I think this happened because i ate lunch earlier, 2 hrs before 3pm dose, the enjoyment of the conversation, and the rest time, which i don't usually do. Plus i did a good 40 min of cardio in the AM. (Which i do most days, but not always 40 mins).
I've heard PD is affected by beliefs, placebo/nocebo....was this also a factor?
Whatever it was, how interesting! I tend to be anxious about taking my meds on time... this was an eye opener!

I have recently missed a dose later in the day on a couple of occasions and noticed little or no difference. I think maybe there's a buildup of meds in my system during the day (an overhang?) which on a good day allows me to coast through the late afternoon and evening.
To minimise side effects it seems a good idea to take the minimum effective dose, so I consider this a good thing and am trimming my afternoon and evening dose slightly on days when I don't feel too bad. 🤞
I can testify about the same : when I am busy and focused in activities I enjoy, I easily forget to take one dose of LevoDopa without any negative effect !
Interestingly thought regarding this, but I noticed my symptoms starting to increase rather rapidly over the past 3-4 weeks. Upon reading here on the forum that too much CL could be the problem, I decided to try a little experiment.
So I was taking my C/L ER(25/100) around 6:30 AM each morning, the second dose at 11 AM, and the last dose for the day at 4 PM. That’s 5-hours between doses if I’m consistent.
The experiment is involving spreading out my doses to every 7-hours. So now I take my first dose at 6 AM, my second dose at 1 PM, and my third and last dose for the day at 8PM.
So far I have noticed my gaite is not as bothersome, my tremor has subsided quite a bit and my anxiety has diminished and I am more focused.
Could this be a placebo effect, or does this correlate to the thought that too much CL is our undoing?? I know Park Bear and others have mentioned this several times.
So the premise that you’ve got too much CL in your body and missing one dose has no effect on how you feel sounds reasonable.
