Diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2021. I recently came across the B1 Therapy and would like to understand more about it.

Works for some, and not for some... You will have to try to see if you benefit.

In my experience, it's really challenging and tricky to find, maintain, adjust and re-adjust the proper dosage of B1. But when I get it just right, I have great improvements in gut motility, stiffness/rigidity, sleep quality, and energy levels.

Thanks for that - so the difficulty is finding the right dosage. I'll start low

You will also need some co-factors. Like calcium, magnesium, molybdenum, cupper, zinc, iodine, b2, niacinamide, b5, b6, biotin, b9, b12. CoQ10, and sometimes aminoacids or binders. It is a whole job to find out, but it is realy worth it. The results are amazing.

If you follow the b1 protocol it is very simple. All you need is a chosen magnesium, a good bcomplex and your chosen b1 eg b1 HCL Oral or b1 sublingual. Monitor and record daily all changes.

I couldn't handle a b-complex because of the methyldonors. And I couldn't add magnesium without calcium. If I had to follow your advice I would end up to say 'sorry thiamine doesn't work for me'. But it does with the wright co-factors. Many trow away the possibilty of b1 because they did not get the wright info thogether.

these people who think they know everything about b1 therapy, who talk to you about oral and sublingual therapy and forget the original like intramuscular therapy…

Salted, my current results are similar to yours. I seem to be on the lower dose side. Simple multi vitamins with b complex is sometimes too much taking it daily. I am still working on finding my sweet spot. I am currently taking 1/2 a multivitamin every other day. I have seen my symptoms drastically disappear with minor left hand tremors and no medication. When I take too much, b complex (with b1) I get extra tremors, anxiety feeling, and rigid sometimes painful. I do take extra magnesium with the multivitamin. For me, a low dose of b1 seems to work but I am still not certain on all the supplemental vitamins needed with the b1 in my multivitamin. I tried b1 alone,100mg sublingual, but that was way too much for my body (book I have states 100mg but newer rivision states 50mg sublingual every other day). Book states each person must find their sweet spot. I am curious though if people exercise regularly, if less dosage is needed? Also curious, if people do not take much medication, if lesser dosage of b1 works.

Currently, I take 25mg (1/4 tablet) of the sublingual 3X/week. It seems to be a bit too much, whether I take B complex or not. Tremor is my worst problem. At this dose, the other symptoms are gone. In particular, there's great improvement in gut motility. But tremor is worse. If I don't take any sublingual B1 at all, the tremor is better, but all my other symptoms (especially constipation and brain fog) return quickly and are worse.

I don't take any PD medications, I do take magnesium threonate, and I do exercise (PT and walking almost every day, jogging 3X/wk).

You can also read the book 'thiamine deficiency, dysautonomia and high calorie malnutrition'. And you can visit hormonesmatter.com, that is also a good place to find more about thiamine. Also Eliotte Overton has good information on thiamine use. And there are several groups on fb.

Please don’t confuse people. Keep it simple and follow either Daphne Bryans B1 protocol or some other such as Eliot Overton but don’t mix the two. Its a simple process with amazing success results.

Sorry, it is not a simple process. Many fail because they only want to take one or two things and want to get miracles. Our body os very complicated also the world we live in. The chemicals we breath in or put on our skin or put in our mouth evolved more in the past 200y then they did in the past 200000y. So every person is different and need a different protocol. You can start with one protocol, look how your body feels, And if the progress is low or absent read on other protocols. For me the b12protocol along with the moldprotocol and the info from many others like Overton and Constatini and Marss and Londsdale and Masterjohn and Scott and the whole low carb world had to be combined. I take 600mg benfo a day, and 2000mg thiamine without I cannot move but that alone would not be enough to be healthy like I am now.

Did you read the book from Daphne Bryan? Might be helpful!
