I have PD and my only sign is a left hand tremor. But when I eat a small meal I feel bloated all day. Today I woke at 6AM and found a tray of donuts. I ate one and am still bloated at 3PM. I know I must eat to be able to have a BM and if I don't eat my stomach growls while I'm constipated. Testing shows no problems in the stomach or small intestine. But the signal for a BM is missing in my colon. Shortly I'm try to have a BM. Maybe I can force some stool out, maybe not. That's when I grab the suppositories. Or Fleet Enema.
When that's done and the BM has happened my stomach still feels bloated.

have you been evaluated for SIBO or GERD, have you ever tried taking digestive enzymes or ginger/artichoke combination pills to help with motility? A naturopath suggested taking bacillus rhamnosus GG and peppermint oil capsules to help with this. There are also some supplements that address dysbiosis - an example is dysbiocide. Naturopaths and acupuncture providers have provided some help for this situation. The GI doctor suggested probiotic Bifidobacterium 35624 and omeprazole however since we had a lot of concerns about the side effects of omeprazole this was only taken for about a month to help get things under control. Have you had the stomach emptying test? The surprising thing was that my husband's stomach emptying test was normal but he used to feel full after eating a very small amount of food. While he can't eat large amounts of food at least now he can eat a reasonable amount of food and was even able to gain weight until he lost weight due to having to do a colonoscopy prep recently. I am thankful that the doctor decided there will not need to be any colonoscopies in the future because regaining the weight lost from the prep is a challenge. Prior to this he had managed to gain 19 lb.
Thanks for the replies. The testing was exhaustive. I had to swallow a small sensor that sent info to their computer. They were adamant about not wanting the device back after I'd crapped it out. The testing said no problems with my stomach, no ulcer etc. I thought I must have something causing food to pass through slowly but they said No, no problems til it gets to the colon. So it's back to constipation as the root cause. I take Omeprazole to control stomach acid, plus Motegrity and Dulcolax to keep shit moving along, It all seems to work for me.
so the stomach emptying test was negative here also but the SIBO and GERD were issues
olive oil can help with constipation when consumed by mouth, such as by drizzling it on vegetables:
How it helps
Olive oil's healthy fats can help stimulate the digestive system and coat the intestinal walls, making it easier for stools to pass. It can also help stools retain water, making them softer
Have you tried a cultured drink like Yakult or a good yoghurt - my PwP had this problem and I put him on Yakult and it cleared up in less than a week. Sounds like you have a gut biome problem - also magnesium is good for BM"s
Did they check your stool for H. Pylori? I was having gut issues earlier this year, also feeling ridiculously full and bloated after just a few bites of food. No constipation, though. I was found to have H. Pylori and was given a 10 day course of three different antibiotics to kill it. I stayed on a PPI for a couple of months afterward. It seemed to take care of the problem.
I have the same problems! Bloating after anything I put in my stomach.
Even worse when I'm constipated. I have found that taking Lions Mane helps having a BM.
Gastritis is what I was told I have but it's such a broad diagnosis. There must be something causing the bloated full feeling. If I had to guess it's a bad filler mfgrs use to make c/l. It's not regulated so they can use pretty much anything they want to make it cheaper. Iv realized in the past several years there has been an increased amount of different brands and have experienced major adverse side effects (Teva being one of them)
