I have PD and my only sign is a left hand tremor. But when I eat a small meal I feel bloated all day. Today I woke at 6AM and found a tray of donuts. I ate one and am still bloated at 3PM. I know I must eat to be able to have a BM and if I don't eat my stomach growls while I'm constipated. Testing shows no problems in the stomach or small intestine. But the signal for a BM is missing in my colon. Shortly I'm try to have a BM. Maybe I can force some stool out, maybe not. That's when I grab the suppositories. Or Fleet Enema.
When that's done and the BM has happened my stomach still feels bloated.

have you been evaluated for SIBO or GERD, have you ever tried taking digestive enzymes or ginger/artichoke combination pills to help with motility? A naturopath suggested taking bacillus rhamnosus GG and peppermint oil capsules to help with this. There are also some supplements that address dysbiosis - an example is dysbiocide. Naturopaths and acupuncture providers have provided some help for this situation. The GI doctor suggested probiotic Bifidobacterium 35624 and omeprazole however since we had a lot of concerns about the side effects of omeprazole this was only taken for about a month to help get things under control. Have you had the stomach emptying test? The surprising thing was that my husband's stomach emptying test was normal but he used to feel full after eating a very small amount of food. While he can't eat large amounts of food at least now he can eat a reasonable amount of food and was even able to gain weight until he lost weight due to having to do a colonoscopy prep recently. I am thankful that the doctor decided there will not need to be any colonoscopies in the future because regaining the weight lost from the prep is a challenge. Prior to this he had managed to gain 19 lb.
