Quite right, but I don't tbink that he has the analysis of diets quite right. The reason that people who ate hot dogs or burgers got worse instead of better wasn't because of the meat but because of the white bread. When you get into the biochemistry of the body's metabolism you will find that cell damage is mostly due an excess of glucose in the blood and highly oxidative and inflammatory refined oils (comonly called 'vegetable oil'). Excess of glucose is due to eating carbs and the fastest way to get them into the bloodstream is to smash them into a fine powder and add gluten i.e. wheat flour, especially white flour which has had all the good stuff that was in the original grain sieved out so that's there's little more than starch and gluten left plus a few supplemlements.
