Berberine suppliers

So many Suppliers of berberine to chose from but I've read there are a few that are not so genuine.Any suggestions of a credible UK source.

our natural health practitioner recommended Thorne. There are several varieties of the plant and this one has the right one (B. Aristata). Others sometimes have half grape seed extract in them too.

I used to use Vitacost for almost everything but have found AllStarhealth prices routinely beat them on most things unless Vitacost is having a sale on something I particularly want. They are as fast as Vitacost and I have found their packaging to be better and their custom service as good.

As with all online places, there will be some that may cost you more at ASH. . But for pricey stuff, that's where I go. I can't afford thorne supplements but know practitioners say they're good quality. I buy many things in bulk. However, Berberine is one you don't want to try and put in water or directly in your mouth. Like olive leaf, it lingers! (They also mark down the prices on things that are going to expire in the next three or six months sometimes. I found a handful of go to supplements there that I would not have tried at full price but for five bucks, worth a try)

ps if reducing the number of fillers in capsules is important to you, I find NOW brand To be cleaner than Swanson and Vitacost brands generally.

As far as doses, there's a Canadian website,examine.com, where you can look up conditions and supplements and they rank uses according to number and quality of studies and provide links to those. It used to be free but there's no reasonable pay and you can get a free trial. They summarize the studies well and extensively but the links are there for you.

On quality, there are organizations that test supplements and I have occasionally benefited from someone on Reddit who has posted results of those. I've been happy with NOW brand, get the occasional thing still from Vitacost that I can't get elsewhere like dgl licorice in capsule form without a bunch of sweeteners and extras. Ditto for Swanson. For Ayurvedic herbs and formulas, Banyan botanicals is excellent if a bit spend. and for all herbs, to make teas and tinctures, mountain rose herbs in Oregon. These last two go out of their way to test and source from places they maintain relationships with and often have visited themselves.
