If it is located in an area within the basal ganglia , it could produce some Parkinsonic symptoms (just like a benig tumour would).

Would be localised to one side, may be limited to some features .

I don’t eat pork. I’m vegetarian. I have PD. This is not the right conclusion

There are probably many causes tbf. High amongst them in my very humble opinion is excess stress.

Have you always been a vegetarian? If not, before you stopped eating meat, had you ever eaten pork? Caveat: even if you had eaten lots bacon before you became a vegetarian OR maybe you still eat lots of pork till date (you don't, but just saying).... I'm not necessarily saying "ah that's the reason for your PD, you probably have larvae in your brain that resulted with your PD". No. Particularly if you don't have the sort migraine described in the article. This is a question of "is this another possible route to inducing parkinson's into a person's brain..? Is there a record of this having ever happened before?"

How many cases of parkinson's disease in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iran, the rest of the Islamic nations?

Don't get your point. I don't know the PD stats in the Islamic countries. But I reckon there are several thousands (despite that they, by Islamic laws, don'teat pork). But does this answer the question in the last line of my posted comment?

You can't get eggs or lavae in your brain from eating pork. No. It has absolutely nothing to do with parkinsons disease

Yes, that was made very clear in the article. I believe some commenters merely read the BBC headline alone. Which is why the conversation veered in this direction, but it wasn't the original intention

if you eat pig flesh, you should try this experiment. Take a piece of raw flesh and put it in water. small larvae will come out in large numbers . Maybe that would put you off enough to stop that "bacon" habit.

Nope. Doesn't happen.

Hi Gomelgo. Have you actually tried it and did it actually lead to those results?

Unfortunately we live in the age of the Internet conspiracy theory and it is quite extraordinary what some people are capable of believing.

Did the pigs come from Eamon Byrnes farm?
