I'm switching from sinemet to Rytary because of the fewer doses throughout the day. I'm struggling with the morning dose. It makes my off time worse and I end up taking 1 sinemet after 1 - 2 hours to relieve symptoms (primarily slow movement and rigidity).
The Rytary seems to be effective after my 2nd and 3rd doses.
Had anyone else experienced a similar problem?

My experience was the opposite. My morning dose was the most likely to work. As the day progressed each dose became less likely to be effective. Finally it got to the point where none of the doses did anything. My neurologist wouldn't believe me. I finally kept a journal of how each dose went and after 4 months of no relief she switched me back to sinemet.
My wife has had excellent results with Rytary (she also takes Ongentys in the evening). Have you considered trying Imbrija for a quick "get moving"? She has Imbrija, but rarely uses it. That being said, I give her Rytary about an hour before she gets up as it doesn't hit as quickly (or expire as quickly) as Sinemet.
I have the same issue. I supplement the morning dose with about 1/8 of an immediate relief Sinemet. The rest of the day I’m fine with two more doses of Rytary.
After 4 years on Rytary, I was able to return back to Sinemet only after I lost my speech and my confidence and my job. Impossible to convince my doctor to switch back until there was no other options. Far more negative than positive responses.
