Hi, we have to resist. I also have Parkinson's, prostate cancer and a broken back, ...for now. But we must resist as far as possible, faith or no faith. We must do it for ourselves and for our loved ones. We must be an example. Better days will come. Mery Christmas.

If you genuinely want to reverse your PD movement symptoms then do the following:

Every second day, you do a warm-up and then walk as fast as you can for as long as you can!

After six months you should be walking for one hour each walk,

Never go longer than one hour and never do it every day!

I am 89 years old now but started fast walking in 1994. By 1997 I was walking at eight Ks per hour.

Keeop it up and tell me how you are doing!

I am wondering what your early/first symptoms were. Are you tremor dominant? I was diagnosed 12 years ago, major symptom slow movements and inability to sustain movement. I do the walking. I do yoga. I do tai chi. I do weight and balance exercises. But I could not do any of it without medication. Yes, I hate the medication. I do believe people with tremor may have an easier time postponing or reducing medication than those of us who cannot move much without it. Interested in others' thoughts on this.

My 1st symptoms were movement problems (Walking) and insomnia, constipation, etc.

Whe n yo say you do the walking; do you walk as FAST AS YOU CAN?If not, youi are wasting your effort and time!

Kindest regards

I do fast walking and exercising regularly. Positive thinking and a good attitude about my diet. Happy New Year to everyone.

Maybe you did not understand that, it is not walking that reverses PD, it is FAST WALKING which is MAINTAINED FOR UP TO ONE HOUR which produces a chemoivcal called GDNF in the brain, which repairs the brain and the PD gets better, but is not cured!

Come back to me!

Thank you for your response. I walk a mile anywhere from 16 to 18 minutes, depending on how I'm doing that day. I consider that a fast pace.

Yes, indeed, one day at a time my friend! We can't change what happens to us but we can choose how we will respond .None of us knows what Tomorrow will bring. I have PD, my husband has cancer and I care for my daughter with special needs. I still find joy, peace and laughter. Count your blessings every day. May God bring healing, peace and friendship into your life as you go through these trials.
