The art critic tries to explain to you the beauty of a work through logical evaluation, discussing why the artist created it and its meaning, among other things. However, apart what our rulers do, there is nothing more wrong than that. The reason is simple: logical evaluation and aesthetics are two different fields. Beauty is a sensation, something to be experienced and felt. It requires attention and participation from people, not evaluation.
What is beautiful? The definition of beauty is highly subjective, with everyone having their own point of view. Therefore, no logical criticism is possible.
But let’s get to the point.
I noticed that works of art represent situations of Life, and everyone says that beauty is expressed through these works. What about the life of each of us?
Can we make our lives as beautiful and interesting as artworks?
While it may be a tough challenge, especially with Parkinson’s disease, it is still possible to live a beautiful life with a little commitment. Just like with artworks, there is no set standard for what a beautiful life should be. Each person creates their own, and no critical or logical evaluation is necessary. It is enough that it is interesting and beautiful for you. You can achieve it if you want to. It is your life, your beautiful and interesting artwork, and nobody can do a logical evaluation of it. We should all live together with love.
So, I wanted to invite you all to share an image of your artwork or anything you find beautiful. Whether it’s a painting, a poem , a video, a photograph, a sculpture, or even just a simple doodle, we would love to see it.
Feel free to add a caption or leave it without any text, as the beauty of art often speaks for itself. Let’s celebrate our creativity and inspire each other with our unique perspectives.
Please share your creations in the comments below. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!
Greetings from Italy.

Hi Gio, Thank you for your beautiful message and invitation to share our artwork. Your words remind us to create our own beautiful and interesting lives, even in the face of challenges like PD
I hope this artwork from the museum in Palafrugell brings joy and inspiration.
Gio, thank you for your engaging invitation to share our creations, which (speaking for myself) far from being works of art, are nonetheless quite an achievement because P. has not managed to relegate us to a black and white world...
I posted a picture of the mountains I see from my house earlier, but it disappeared so here is a counter full of cairns built mostly by me. This was 10 years ago. I can’t do it now, sadly. Click on the picture for the full image.
It was a moving experience to come across this tree at the end of a long and arduous hike in the mountains near Girona. The fact that the tree initially appeared dead or dying, yet was still brimming with life through new shoots, served as a metaphor for living with PD. It was an invitation to be mindful of the beauty and potential that still exist, despite the challenges that the disease brings.
I love all creation! Sunsets, the ocean, mountains and animals! The natural outdoors is so peaceful and helps me to feel refreshed. All of nature is like art to me. Each sunset is a different painting.
Thanks for such a great topic Gioc! This summer I painted my bathtub and covered the shower walls above my bathtub. That might not sound like art, but as I did not know how to tile I did my own thing with fiberglass drywall, epoxy, and some wood I had left over from building a deck. I frequently stare at it.
I don't want to monopolise this invitation from Gio, but I would like to share with you my latest pictorial decoupage, a challenge to Parkinson's because lately the tremor has increased and reading what Giulietta has posted I wondered how much longer I can dream with my colours....
Thank you Bolt and Albachiara. I recommend going wild with colour. Very relaxing. There's an artist in all of us.....even with a shooglie hand we can create!
I have been doing some kind of art for 30 years, mainly watercolor and Chinese brush painting . In recent years painting larger pieces have become more difficult and I have doing greeting cards that i can complete in a couple of hours I donate these cards to charity I have found this activity that requires concentration and detail work is very beneficial to PD progression and general wellbeing
In my response earlier I shared some of my cards but I wanted to add i try to use humor whenever i can in an effort to keep me sane. PD makes me feel i can never get my ducks in a row. There’s always something new that pops up just when i think all is well
I'm curious about where this is in Portugal! Not sure if hiking is considered an art form, but the Fisherman trail along the southwest coast of Portugal is indescribably beautiful. If you're still mobile enough, I highly recommend walking this stunning path. The panoramic views of the series of beautiful coves are pure art. First see the Rota Vicentina in Portugal and then die!
I feel like I’ve always seen the world a little differently than most people. Both before my diagnosis and certainly after.
This image is a photo of ice in a glass of water . I use the editing tools to bring out the colors and textures. It is a process of discovery and they all turn out differently from each other .
Thank you, albachiara2. You are very kind. Your description of the photos as being “an exciting dive into a swirl of colours” is spot on for me. My process involves little exact control over what colors and textures are revealed. So there is often at least a little excitement as I discover what is possible with each photo.
Thank you for your positive feedback, Gio. It is much appreciated.
If by “develop” you mean create prints from film, no, I don’t do that. I use my iPhone to take and then edit the photos. I have had some printed as greeting cards and other suitable products for gifts and/or personal use.
It appears to resemble Sunday school, where the saying goes "Let all the children come to me," but sadly, it seems that this is no longer feasible for the Parkinson's patient. AI has given up on him...
I took your comment “Parkinson's Patient with a supportive community“ as a suggestion for the AI and tried to make it a little more alive, interesting and natural, from my point of view. After a bit of work with an AI graph, here is the result. A bit modest IMO, but it's not my field. 😀
Too realistic, it wasn't the realism I wanted but something beautiful and interesting that makes the viewer participate with his imagination. Otherwise it becomes . an advertising poster with an attached message rather than an artistic work. This IMO is the limit that AI cannot overcome because this is how the program is set up.
AI:
Suggested text -> image = advertising poster with closed message
Human being:
Work of art = positive stimulus with open participation of the spectator.
AI doesn't do this! Maybe
And with this I went out of my way…🤔
The classic tiger look vs the circus advertising poster 🎪😱
Hi Rescuema, thank you, it's always a pleasure to hear from you.
Do you really like them? To me it seems like things already seen and sad.🫢🤷🏽♀️😁
That's why I used an app called “davinci” in a free trial, well! 🤷🏽♀️.
These roosters and chickens are created by another app based on this suggestion “Painting oil on canvas of colored chickens that scratch in a forecourt of the Tuscan house”
Hi Gio, yes I like them, especially the one you posted earlier with orange lit trees and shadow figures is very creative. I’m behind with AI art because I actually paint and draw freehand and rather a purist refusing to use any technical aids. Though I can’t deny seeing and admiring certain creativities being fueled by AI movements.
Ah that makes it even more special - the shadow of you and your wife during sunset! What an amazing image you managed to capture in nature with the vivid color complements. I thought you may have post-processed the image through Photoshop layers or AI. I may share my art with you in private someday, but you understand why I wouldn't for privacy. 😉
Hello everyone, this spectacular sunrise on 3 January 2024 (a photo I took without using filters) is a wonderful work of art that I want to dedicate to everyone, with the wish that this year will be a wonderful sunrise for all of us. Special thanks to Gio
