Currently recruiting for Phase 2 study of this vaccine. Eligibility criteria are reasonably broad but takes place in New York City only so far. Lumbar puncture will be part of the study procedure:

UB-312 (α-synuclein)

"Targets toxic forms of aggregated α-synuclein in the brain to fight Parkinson’s and other synucleinopathies, such as dementia with Lewy Body (“DLB”) and multiple system atrophy (“MSA”). The first part of a Phase 1 trial in healthy volunteers has shown UB-312 to be well tolerated, with no significant safety findings, and immunogenic, with a high responder rate and antibodies that cross the blood-brain barrier"

Phase 1 results: movementdisorders.onlinelib...

"Twenty-three participants received all three vaccinations of UB-312. Most adverse events were mild, transient, and self-resolving. Common treatment-emergent adverse events included headache, nasopharyngitis, vaccination-site pain, lumbar puncture-site pain, and fatigue. UB-312 induced dose- and time-dependent antibody production. Antibodies were detectable in serum and CSF of all participants receiving the 300/300/300 μg UB-312 dose regimen. The average CSF/serum ratio was 0.2%"

They used genetically modified mice that actually develop human-like Parkinson's. With that said they did apply the vaccine relatively early in the mouse development, before gross Parkinson's symptoms appeared. So that does leave uncertainty as to how well this would work in a more developed case of Parkinson's.

Hilarious. Another half-baked gene therapy to force the body to deal with manmade intoxicants.

Trust The Science!

Humans will never learn.

But, but, but...alpha syn hasn't been proven to be a cause and not an effect?

I believe it's definitely seen as part of the problem. How close to the root problem it is,I'm not sure if anyone definitely knows.
