Essentially, we know that the "mess" of our world is the cause of a lot of (future) misery. Despite this latest alarming message, there will still be no evidence to prove the harmfulness of polystyrenes to our health and nature. Production will continue for years, and our food will still be served on those dirty polystyrene trays, which common sense already tells us are simply harmful.

The PD of many of us will have been partly caused by the mess in the world. It should be a reason especially for PWP to go up the barricades, to give a signal that it really needs a different lifestyle, not just individually for people with PD, but a responsible lifestyle for the whole world. For dealing with your PD, a purpose in life seems to be very important. Here it is.

Avanti PD Popolo!!!

Don't use these: "Single-use polystyrene products, such as foam packing materials, cups, and cutlery, are largely responsible for widespread polystyrene waste that contributes to overall plastic pollution "

Plus, it is very worthwhile to invest in glass storage containers, which are not expensive.

Does this exclude jars with metal lids? I've often wondered about the compounds used in jar lids which seem intended to reduce friction when opening and closing a jar.

Not the barricades, but I did just send the two articles above to my city council member.

That's a great question and I don't know. Personally I'm not highly concerned about this because food rarely, if ever, touches the lid. Glass jars with metal lids are my main means of food storage.
