wonder the details, how far in advance of symptoms does it pick this up? would like my kids to take this test. much nicer than the spinal fluid one MJF has so far developed. i know he's working on a better form of the test..... someday.
Why should you know about this disaster disease earlier???
Instead of wasting money on it they should work on a good treatment or cure
Why should your kids know about having PD earlier, let them enjoy their life instead of ruining it with knowing they have an incurable progressive disabling disease.
Big pharma wasting time and the rest of our lives with useless futile things instead of going for the cure.
How about someone develops a drug which doesn't cure but halts progress? How much further do you want your PD to progress before you stop it? Why would you not want to stop it at where it was 4 years before you were diagnosed?
I totally agree. To quote Jackson Browne, "let your illusions last until they shatter".
The only real benefit I see to PD biomarkers is to use them as a tool to identify if a treatment is having an effect.
If it can be used to identify disease modifying compounds or “see” the effect(s) over time of different types of exercise then crack on. If less invasive than the MJFF test then that's positive too.
If I had been told at 18 I probably would get breast cancer at 55, I would probably have developed life style changes to bring down the probability.
