The researches says that alcool can increase the side effects of levodopa and worse PD symptoms.

In my experience if I drink about 2/3 glasses of wine and after drinking a Margarita, my symptoms of PD get improve. I assume that is for the production of GABA due tu alcool, that give me more relaxation . What is you experience?

I don't take any medication, but I can also confirm that after drinking two beers or a glass of wine I feel much better and the symptoms subside! :-)

I am a non-drinker. It seems that even a small amount of alcohol aggravates my motor impairment. So this can go either way.

My experience is 2 - 3 glasses of wine at night helps me with my balance. My children think so as well

I’d love to have a glass of wine to accompany my dinner, but it affects my sleep and my stomach, unfortunately.

Yes, that has been my experience as well. I've always said that after a drink, I feel 'normal'. I won't be stopping any time soon.

I used to be a 1-2 glass of wine daily drinker, but stopped drinking about two years ago. Feel better overall as a result.

I rarely drink alcohol anymore but when I do, it calms me down. My tremors subside significantly. But I think it’s a 2 way St. if I drink too much it’s not good. One or two glasses of wine or a cocktail every now and then makes me enjoy life. I’m not gonna cut it out completely.

I also get steadier after one or two glasses of wine. But more than that can cause me to freeze up,

Hi Mike, I'm 72 years young and was diagnosed in 2010. I enjoyed a cold Hieny when I got home from work, especially on a hot day. I would grab my small cooler and put 3-4 Hienies in it. I would go down to my backyard archery range and shoot 30-40 arrows. It was so relaxing. Then I started on rum and coke with a lime twist. A big mistake - the acid in the coke led me to develop kidney stones. Five years later I came down with PD. I don't drink at all now. I'm all for research so there might be something here. Could drinking alcohol have a beneficial impact on alcohol soluble alpha synoclein. I wonder what the PD rate is for alcoholics. Any one wanna check this out? Always said if it was your idea, you could pass the work off to someone else!!!
