I have a question regarding the Constantini Protocol: How does one distinguish between the indications that one is not getting a sufficient amount of B1 vs. an overdose of B1?
I don't think that heightened anxiety can be an indicator in my case, because I've had periods of high anxiety since I was diagnosed. Also, I don't think I've had any improvements so far.
It's a difficult disease to live with.
I am thankful that this group exists.

Dr. Costantini said a dose that is too low will offer zero benefit in terms of symptom improvement, while a dose that is too high will offer a clear worsening of symptoms to as much as worst ever and an optimal dose will offer symptom improvement over your pre-B1 symptoms as well as an improved push test. This is the reason for the videos, especially in people who respond slowly.
One thing that I never heard Dr. Costantini say is that some people do not respond to B1, but clearly from reports on this forum some people do not respond to B1.
This is just a hunch, but maybe some of the so-called non-responders have a narrower than normal range of how much B1 to take, making it very difficult to find. For instance, it's harder to find the effective range of daily B1 to take if it's between 50mg and 52mg per day than it is if it's between 50mg and 60mg.
