Does exercise before bed interrupt your sleep pattern?

I'd say the opposite. I do an HIIT workout (very difficult ) then need 24 hours to recover. That night I go 8 hours without 3AM trips to the toilet. The recovery day gets me up 3 or 4 times a night.

I suppose the hard workout could leave me a bit dehydrated and that's why I'm not visiting the toilet a lot that night.

I use a treadmill and heart rate monitor. HIIT means getting the heart rate up to 90% of maximum during each sprint. The workout is 30 second sprints followed by 90 seconds recovery done eight times.

I've concluded that hibernation is best for me so I avoid exhausting work outs, wear a weighted shoulder wrap as often as practical, live in a multi storey home (lots of stairs) and do a light exercyle before bed.
