PD Cafe T-shirt Design

Due to PD issues, it is difficult for me to keep a clean shirt. Therefore I designed a shirt with food stains all over it so when I spill something on it it would be less noticeable.

I guess another "target group" are parents with messy kids?

yes, I have a messy 18 year old who never seems to be able to eat without at least one blob landing on the shirt.

What a great, creative idea, maybe you should go into business and try selling them online.

If I get enough folks interested, I just might do that!

great idea! Start printing the shirts, I’ll buy one!

Thanks Boca! How much should I sell them for? I really don't want to exploit PD by making a profit but enough to cover production costs and bring more awareness to the disease.

What a great idea for bringing more awareness to the disease. Nice design. There's nothing wrong with making a reasonable profit after you figure out the cost of making them and mailing them out.

Are you screen printing or hand painting them? It looks like screen printed, I'd say charge at least between £15-20, you have to buy the t-shirts (in bulk), cost of inks, screen etc plus time and P&P. Awaiting where to order, I'm small female size!

P.S. Hope you don't mind a bit of design advice. Maybe change the black stain to brown as it looks a bit severe. Also the lettering style, but it's a wonderful design and a great idea (I am a retired art teacher, artist and designer BTW). Oh and don't forget the copyright symbol: © or someone might copy your design. All the best.

Thanks Ardbeg, for the helpful advice. They are silk screen I made myself. For me this method is very labor intensive. I found out a nearby company makes silk-screen shirts using a computerized contraption, but it is rather expensive, unless I have them produced in bulk quantities.

Always tricky to do too many in bulk in case you don't get the demand for them. Better doing a small run but it may be more expensive. Investigate where you could sell them first and find out computer generated costs. I'm sure you'll know to do all this.

This is excellent, DeanGreen. I saw this in action when we had a five year anniversary at Rock Steady Boxing last week. After roughly 60 people were done with lunch it looked like the Animal House food fight. My thought for a shirt "I'm not pissed off, I'm not bored, I just have bad brainz.

great idea much better than a bib

But not a white background, maybe a tannish color. Love the idea!!! I give hubby a kitchen towel to use at mealtime as a bib. Then, I use a hand vacuum to clean up the food around his chair. We just laugh. He loves your idea!

I just saw this. Great idea! I love it. (kind of sad, but kind of funny also. I just the other day threw a giant glob of toothpaste from my toothbrush onto the bathroom wall. LOL.)

If there is still any interest in the PD Cafe t-shirts, I have a limited amount of sizes M, L, XL available on (ebay.com/itm/285301338840). Shipping to UK seems fairly expensive. Does anyone have any ideas on cheaper shipping to UK ?
