Thanks for the information! Sounds like exciting news.

What medical breakthrough happened in 1969? In 1969 levodopa (L-dopa) was hailed as a miracle drug that would cure parkinsonism.

I hope it’s something that’s already been through testing and trials. 🥊

Is that the chakra alignment study or the zodiac crystal healing one?

Just hope its not a biomarker / diagnostic test. Understand that those are also groundbreaking but of little help once you've got it 😀

Turns out that it is a biomarker... "a highly accurate biological test for Parkinson’s disease."

If this discovery were so "earth moving, sky parting, incredible", then it would have already have been announced. The fact that they are delaying the announcement and building the hype is once again just another so-called non-profit (for profit) move. I for one am really getting tired of it, and the endless MJFF dangling hope on a string just above our heads needs to end.

My guess: it's related to the findings in the following article

It looks like it's a biomarker for PD. michaeljfox.org/webinar/maj...

This could be quite useful if it has any of these properties:

1. detects people before they're symptomatic

2. it is scaled so you can use it to measure progression

One problem I have heard reference to is that the base rate of progression is so slow, that even if we find a useful way to slow it, it's nearly impossible to measure without huge sample sizes. If progression really is proportional to this test, we can re-evaluate all the procedures of unknown efficacy (B1, various diets, etc.) and firm up our evaluations. But like everything else, it probably varies a ton.

Also: this patent from Sackler-Bernstein has some interesting parts. Paragraph 31 starts an attempt at a summary of the molecular pathways involved. I haven't seen anything this good before. patents.google.com/patent/U...
