If you are over 50 and have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) within the last three (3) years, the PROSEEK Study may be an option. It is a clinical research study evaluating a once-daily, oral investigational drug to potentially slow disease progression in people with early-stage PD

Anything interesting to share from your participation?

Nothing interesting to be honest. I had never been in a clinical trial before so that was a new experience. Whether it slowed the disease progression or not I think it’s very difficult to determine. But hopefully my small participation will add to our knowledge and get us that much closer to a cure.

Did you also take part in the PROSEEK optional long-term extension study? If so, how long did the extension study go for?

I think you may be referring to what they call the open label portion of the trial. Yes I did participate in the open label I think for approximately three months.

Okay, thanks.

PROSEEK is currently estimated to complete in March 2024. After 5+ years, I'm looking forward to finally seeing the results.
