“This New Innovator Award will allow us to focus on developing TNT-driven restorative therapies for neurodegenerative disorders,” said Gallego-Perez, also an assistant professor of general surgery at Ohio State’s College of Medicine. “Our initial goal is to study its implementation in the repair of lesions or defects at the central and peripheral nervous system levels.”
a slightly different focus but it appears that at least the research continues
it appears that one of the main researchers into this procedure is now at Indiana University and continuing research and India wants to do the first clinical trials
Mar 5, 2019 — The government of India wants to host the first human trials. ... The payoff—in the form of tissue nanotransfection—could be huge.

TNTABM caused neurotrophic enrichment of the skin stroma and elevation of endogenous NGF and other co-regulated neurotrophic factors such as Nt3. TNTABM spared loss of cutaneous PGP9.5+ mature nerve fibers in db/db diabetic mice.
This technology is truly groundbreaking and the limits are potentially endless. Once the trials commence, I'm sure that if it does what it promises, it'll be fast tracked.. Potential real game changer on so many levels.
My excitement is only exceeded by my frustration that it takes sooooo long for "breakthroughs" like this to actually break through....🙂😔😔
