I can smell it on my husband.
My fiancée used to be able to smell it on me but not anymore. An earthy smell apparently.
when he is feeling better the smell fades but if he is feeling bad it’s stronger. I think it is something to do with metabolising of fatty acids and bacterial problem in his gut as his skin gets very greasy when the smell is around and his spots on his face come back.
This is really cool and relates to the other submission on the mass spectrometry assay of people with altered sebum production, which was fascinating because of the surprisingly large number of different simultaneously altered component substances. I'd say these directions are closer to a definitive tool product than we think.
Maybe they can train some "Parkinson's dogs" to sniff us out in the early stages.
