Very interesting. Looks like investigators are working on new drugs for this purpose that do not have the diuretic effect. Unfortunately that means approval is a long way off. That said, this looks very promising - in a pilot study average improvement in part 3 of UPDRS was 11 points which is outstanding.

Sounds familiar? Taurine is doing the same without diuretic sides effects even with balancing electrolytes.Activating GAD and making more GABA out of Glutamate. I think Taurine is a wonder supplement.

I take it is helping you? If so, how much did you take and for how long?

I had been taking one gram daily some time – over a month I believe – with no effect. It did not do any harm, so there is that.

I have started taking Taurine recently. It has helped me with endurance and strength , better muscle tone and converting glutamate to GABA noticing it with remarkable relaxation after workout. I take 500mg twice a day. I think there are more to it but need more time to confirm that.

Taurine may be my next supplement to try. It sounds like you’re doing well with it. That’s great!

Yes. I think Taurine is an essential supplement for me.

That’s good. I’m glad it’s working for you. Do you have any recommendations for brand or amount? And I realize what you’re taking may not work for me but I have no clue where to start. Thank you.

Lowering chloride lowers dopamine depletion and therefore decreases PD motor problems, Bumetanide produces a higher urinary Na+:K+ ratio with a lower pH than hydrochlorothiazide, but my hydrochlorothiazide should help to some degree too. Says bumetanide shouldn't be taken with lithium, but I am sure low dose would not be a problem.

Ugh... Do I feel better because of the hydrochlorothiazide that I have been taking for a week or Sublingual (B1) that I have been taking a week also?

What is Bumetanide and where can you get it? How do you know how much to take? Thanks
