If you are taking Rytary what other Parkinson’s medications might be added to your regiment? My husband is going to be starting Rytary but he has more off periods in last 6 months then ever? Thank you

Make one change at a time. Rytary should go a long way towards remedying the off periods. Concentrate on getting the dosage and dosing intervals correct.

Hi Blueyedgirlky; As you know Rytary is Carbidopa/Levodopa Extended Release.

So if you are taking 125 dose of Rytary then you should not take any type of Levodopa for at least three hours .

Also if you are using 250mg; Then this period should be 6 hours.

But sometimes it seems that it's not working alone!

In my experience I'm taking 125mg Rytary + 50/12.5/200 Stalevo.

And if after one hour my symptoms still there.

Then I take another low dose stalevo.

And this is the only way I get the best results of this medicine
