I think that far more people are lacking rather than over supplementing. The fact is that we evolved to be an outdoor species and many instead spend almost all their time indoors. In addition many with darker skin have migrated further north where there Vitamin D levels are often through the floor. Take Vitamin D3 + K2 to prevent heart calcification and less in summer when you are outside a lot and all should be fine.

I have a Vitamin D app on my IPad. It tracks my location in the world so knows the level of Vitamin D I’m getting naturally. From this calculation I can adjust my daily intact so an optimum amount is received. The app records it in a daily basis. Not 100% correct, but better than a wild a$$ guess.

Farooqji I was taking 5000iu daily for quite a while, then had blood testing done for a wellness screening to find out my D was still low! I increased it to 5000iu 2x day and when retested I was in the normal range.

Yes that is what I found too. My daugher is pregnant (yay!) and her blood tests revealed she is low in Vitamin D and added supplement. I was surprised bc we live in Florida; but overall we are much more careful in sun use SPF shirts, hats, etc.

You are right. People with PD are exception in the sense that pwp vitamin D levels are lower than the normal people. PWP should take 10,000 IU a day
