Morning, I too have experienced this a lot. Thank goodness not for a while though. It's when we're in what's called the REM of sleep. The brain has woken up but the body hasn't. I try to call out but can't. Such a frightening experience. I just say to myself relax and in a few moments you'll be able to move. I seem to know when this is going to happen now. It's when I wake up, whatever time that may be....usually around 6:30am. I feel a need to fall back to sleep, as still feel tired, that's when it happens. I try to open my eyes and see in double vision. Just a weird and horrible experience. Don't worry it's common. Google it where it explains all about it.

Thank you!!
You're welcome. Not sure why I see the Parkinson's posts as I'm a PMR/GCA sufferer. Parkinson's must be so horrible. Did you see Lynsette Anthony, she appeared on Loose Women last week talking about it ?. Assuming you're in England of course....she calls it Parky. She has it quite bad. I moan about having PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica) that does at least eventually go into remission. What meds are you given ? PMR sufferers (no cure) can only take Prednisone steroids to try to keep the inflammation down.
I am experiencing this almost every night now . Been experiencing it for the last month now . I usually wake around 4 to go pee and bairly make it . My wife is in next room and I don’t want to yell to her because she needs her rest for looking after me during the day . Meds are not working so I am very afraid as to what next steps would be to help with this issue. How much longer before I have to be put in a nursing home?
Maybe yours is due to stress. Parkinson's is an awful to disease to live with.
I too am looking after hubby at the moment. He's waiting for 2 hip replacements and can no longer walk. 'In sickness and in Health' and all that.
Kind wishes
Anne
This is common to all humans. Not ready and fully awake yet
