I have a simple question. How many mgs of a single oral tablet of 100 mg Thiamine Hcl is absorbed or rather whats the maximum that could be absorbed... I know it depends on transporters and is actively absorbed at low doses and by passive diffusion at high doses..
When i take 100 mg Thiamine Hcl, i dont feel anything has gone into my brain but just 50 mgs of Allithiamine, i can actually feel something has gone in and my focus, concentration is clearer

I think I’m right in saying that oral HCl thiamine is absorbed in the intestinal tract. Research suggests that some people with Parkinson’s and people over 60, can have a dysfunctional gastrointestinal tract which makes thiamine absorption inefficient. This could be one reason why some people trying oral B1 are non-responders and/or why some need to take such high quantities before B1 works for them.I know nothing about Allithiamine.
I hit send before I wanted to. Please feel free to follow my blog to other links about Thiamin HCL And click on the follow ,e button to see what new thing I have discovered. Sue
