This will replace our regularly scheduled Sunday meeting. There will not be a Zoom meeting Sunday, Dec 19.

The meeting will be recorded and the link to the recording will be posted later in the day.

If you want to be in this meeting, you must send me your email address as a private message. I am not keeping a separate list for this meeting, so if you don’t want to get Zoom links after this meeting, you must notify me to take you off the list.

I have asked the doctor to discuss inclusion and exclusion criteria. If you have specific questions, please post them.

Marc, unfortunately I'm at work at that time and I cannot attend but I wish I could. Regarding the inclusion / exclusion I have a question. In my case is hard to say the medication (4x100/25 c/l per day) is working as everything depends a lot of my stress state. After 5 years I have only tremor in my RH (it seems B1 fixed everything else). If I'm relaxed or forget about having PD the tremor goes down (maybe the medications helps a little). But if I'm stressed then the medication does nothing regarding the tremor. Sometimes , only when I'm aware of it, the tremor intensifies if I don't take the medication probably because of the addiction to it. I'm curios how dr. J will judge this; am I accepted or not for FUS? I know he may say he needs to see me first but just a rough idea will be welcomed.

The 2nd question is referring to the stress sensitivity . Is the FUS going to make our mind stronger to stress like prior PD or at least will improve it? Right now any stress will amplify the symptoms intensity. Before I had no problem in confronting other people but now it is impossible to handle that stress.

Thank you,

ion, I would not presume to know whether or not you would qualify and I don't believe that the doctor will entertain assessing people in a public Zoom meeting. I would suggest you contact them and start the process.

Marc, you said dr. J will discuss about inclusion / exclusion criteria and you told us we can ask questions. I wanted a general idea about the scenario I presented and not a public evaluation of myself.

I wanted to understand roughly where the boundaries of acceptance are.

Anyhow, maybe the 2nd question is OK to be asked. If not, that's fine!

Thank you.

ion, Yours are good questions. I'm not the one to answer them = that's all I meant.

Above you said this: "I have asked the doctor to discuss inclusion and exclusion criteria. If you have specific questions, please post them. "

I posted them thinking you'll pass them to the dr. who will give some answers (the dr., not you).

Maybe I misunderstood your statement quoted from your 1st message.

Thank you.

Hey Marc,I hope you are feeling well these days. I came across this post of yours, do you have this link of Dr. J still? If yes, can you email at e.schneider@comcast.net when you can, thanks. One last thing, do you remember or know if PTT-FUS precludes DBS later if that has a big advance in technology.

Best,

Eric

Eric,

Sorry for the slow reply. I've been out of town.

FUS PTT does not preclude DBS later.

The link has expired, but the same content is available in his YouTube videos on SoniModul's website.

Marc,

Thanks for the info that my memory was fuzzy on. You never have to say sorry for not responding quickly to me as WE do everything a bit slower than most!

Might be back in near future for some PTT-FUS guidance or thoughts. Have nice holidays and feel good

Eric
