How was recovery time? Do you take any meds at all anymore?
Any advice is helpful thank you
hello Cbgs. I have PD for 15 years and DBS for 2 years. With dbs i was able to reduce medication and felling much less bad side effects from it. its not a miracle but almost. even so i should warn you that in the begining of the adaptation to it (and proper regulation) you may be a litle disapointed. but it wil get better with time.
I had PD for 16 years and have the DBS over 2 1/2 years. I have a new life and enjoy it every bit of my waking hours. After the surgery, I took off all PD medication for nearly a year. I'm taking less Madopar than before. It all depends on individual.
Did you have walking issues before DBS?
DBS made my walking worse - a common side effect. Fos-levodopa seems more promising to me.
