Speaking problems

Anyone have speaking problems when they are “on”. I can talk just fine before my meds but as soon as they kick in, speaking becomes difficult and no one can understand me, it feels like my jaw is wired shut and that goes away again when the meds wear off. Any advice?

I get stiffness elsewhere in my body when I have too much levodopa. You could try a lower dosage or switch to some kind of time released version of levodopa. Immediate release C/L is more prone to this kind of problem than controlled-release:

I have several suggestions to help with speaking clearly explained in my book “Music as medicine, particularly in Parkinson’s” available on Amazon.

Interesting observation, My speech varies a lot during the day, and I will try and track when it is worse. Speech therapy has been a little help, but poor speech is very frustrating.
