The other 2 gentleman responding so far have given you the help you need. I am just fondly reminded of a hi-fi forum I belonged to where the response to a question like that would be "did you check the archive before posting". It made for a tidier , more easily researched, better run forum.

You're right, I just jumped in without checking the archives, but will do as I gain familiarity with HU system.

Yes! Been on it about three years with great results. No more foot drag, better balance and much higher energy levels. Was using two canes before HDT, now none. It seemed gradual. But when I look back...WOW, what an improvement!

There have been many, many discussions about this. As with everything PD related, there is a range of success. I’m probably somewhere in the middle: didn’t eliminate everything, but I’m thrilled with what it has. No more internal tremor or slight drooling. Worth it just got that.

That's encouraging, I find the literature shows how variable the response is among PWP. I am only a couple of months into my trial and trying doses in the 3-4 g a area. Myweight is about 165 lbs or 74 kg. Will continue trial; for 2 + more months.

I don't know if weight plays into dosage and effectiveness, but FWIW, I'm around 125 lbs.

May I ask your dose? I am also female and your size with internal tremors. I was using 500 mg twice a day.

I worked my way up to 4g/day. I buy the 500g capsules from Vitacost and take 4 twice a day.

Thank you!

I have been using HDT since my diagnosis earlier this year (right hand/ arm tremor). So far 2g is all I have had to use during the day. Tremors start coming back early in morning before I take my suppliments, so I may increase a little more at a time, but definitely helped me!

Thanks. I'm some 6 years more advancedin my PWP journey, now doing a trial with HDT as an adjunct to Madopar and a Neupro patch. I started HDT trial on 3 g/day (2 x 1.5 g) and now have progressed to 4 g/day. No identifiable improvement so far but I feel good and hopeful!
