Crawling feeling

Last night I couldn't get back to sleep in the middle of the night due to the feeling like insects were under my skin. Can't find anything on here about it but might be using the wrong search words.

I’ve definitely read others’ accounts of similar symptoms.

That’s a commonly reported side affect from the vaccine.

I also have those occasional symptoms not always and I have no idea what it is I imagine that Parkinson's affects the entire nervous system

Hi grower. I am sorry to hear about your experience and the obvious pain that you are going through. I wish you well.

You actually described the problem perfectly. It happens to Parkinson’s patients and not very common or well known. Doctors have a fancy name for it: paresthesia. It is also called formication. Here’s an excellent description of the condition:

Hope this helps.

I have been getting this more and more lately. It starts in my feet and travels up my legs and nothing seems to stop it when it happens.

that sounds awful, I'm sorry. Thankfully mine seems to be only sporadic. For the time being anyway...

Hi Sugar, have you talked to your doctor? He/she/they should be able to treat you with medication. Gabapentin is an excellent choice.

I'm scheduled to see him this coming month; odds are he'll say it's not Parkinson's is pretty much his normal reply.

I had similar symptoms and developed a type of rash as well eventually. My neurologist has experienced this with several his patients and realized that it was the yellow dye in the levodopa carbidopa pills that I was allergic to so He switched me to a different pill that’s blue instead of yellow and that has taken care of the problem. If your neurologist doesn’t believe you, I have an article that my neurologist has written about this common Problem that I can send you.

My Neurologist refers to this as Restless Legs in my arms. (Primarily this is where I get it). He prescribed a very low dose of Ropinerole (ER 4MG), haven't had an issue with it since

While this is a dopamine agonist, I have not had any issues with it and have been on it for several years
