my uncle has had a good day today. he managed to get out for the first time in a few weeks. however he walked quiet a distance and was stood a long time and said he felt like he was going to collapse with his legs feing like jelly?
does anyone else experience this?
it's been a while since hes walked so far but was determined to do it. in the end had to sit down as his legs felt weak. soon as he rested he was fine again.

Hi. As we get older, we all need to do regular exercise. Nobody can expect to suddenly exercise and not feel week afterwards.
If your uncle has Pd, which I assume he does then give me your email address and I will send you my videos and a lot of info on exercise for Pd patients.
I have managed to overcome many of my Pd movement symptoms by doing certain exercise and many other Pd patients are doing the same. It requires a little effort but it is better than slowly getting worde and becoming bed-ridden.
Perhaps massage his legs a little to get the blood circulating. My husband sits a lot. Bought him one of those portable bike pedals and he sits pedaling while on the computer. Keeps the muscles going. Then, he's able to walk. Legs feel good.
If hubby is very active one day (like he works in the garage on small projects - and is standing) his legs get very tired the next day. So he rests, no pedaling either. Takes a day of rest then the next day will pedal. I'll give his legs a light massage too.
he has a a mini bike just for his legs which seems to be working. he's been stronger today and even been gardening which is great. but now he's very weak again. thank you for your advice. he also has physio starting soon.
