dystonia --dyskinasia

For me the pins and needles sensation in the hands and feet were a very early sign of Parkinson's. It only lasted for a short while, but over the years my big toe and other parts of my body started becoming numb. It doesn't seem to bother my driving, although I do have to focus a little bit on how hard I hit the gas pedal.
Distonia didn't become an issue until recently (a couple years ago) when my toes started curling during long walks. Thankfully it responds very well to levodopa treatment. Dyskinesia shouldn't be a problem unless you're taking too much levodopa already.
thanks --is dykinasia pins and needles
Dyskinesia is where your arms, legs or other parts of your body are writhing uncontrollably (almost like a dance). You can see it happening in most of Michael J. Fox's recent videos.
Pins and needles falls under the category of a peripheral neuropathy. So is numbness. A lot of things can cause pins and needles sensation (eg. a compressed nerve or vitamin B-12 deficiency, just to name a few).
I have had PD since 2010and for about 8 months had a pins and needles in my hands. I find things difficult to pick up, and pouring the water out of the kettle too make tea. it goes any where but in the tea-pot and this was just the start. GP thought I had rheumatoid arthritis after seeing another Doctor at the hospital he told me that he thought it was Carpal Tunnel. Waiting to see another Doctor now. When my hands get cold my hands and fingers hurt, and it has made me very clumsy, I am awkward when trying to pick up things I don't have much coodernation in my hand. and find it very hard to feel things. But it isquite a commen condition. Hoprfully soon something will get done.
