It would save readers' time. This includes both original posts / questions and the replies. It has the added benefit of making the original posts / questions findable in the forum search function.

I have seen others complain 'this same topic was already posted on' - but if no keywords are given in the post then it cannot be found by a search - so of course the topic will get posted on again since unless someone is on the forum all the time monitoring all posts as they come in, they will have missed it.

Strong agreement. I also suggest posters scroll down through the last week of sequential posts to be sure they are not posting repetitive information. Especially if it is recent news.
