question?? will "fast walking" reduce my need for sinemet to help control tremors and are there any other physical changes from fast walking to be aware of?????

Also has anyone had any experience with "Restore Gold"

Fast walking does not immediately reduce a resting tremor, however, it does and can reverse many of the symptoms because it, to the best of my knowledge, increases the amount of GDNF in the brain, which in turn increases the number of GLIAL CELLS, which produces more DOPAMINE.

If I am correct, which I feel sure I am, then because the lack of sufficient dopamine results in Parkinson's symptoms, then all the symptoms will improve.

In the meantime, while getting up to speed with the walking, you may well have the need to take Sinemet. Hopefully, you will have started producing more Dopamine before you need to take more Sinemet and you can slowly reduce that need.

It took me four years to get to that stage, but it still took me another four years before I was able to stop taking the MAO-b inhibitor. But, during all that time I was slowly gettinng BERTTER, NOT WORSE!

I know for me when I speed walk DAILY all the symptoms tend to diminish .. If I DON"T speed walk the symptoms creep back again-this includes the non-motor symptoms.. In general I really try and look after myself with exercise, diet, supplements etc.. Agreed , the GDNF in the brain is vital.

Greetings. I have Been taking restore gold For about three years. I stopped taking it for a short period of time since it is expensive and my symptoms started to creep back up. So needless to say I am back on restore gold. I have been diagnosed for four years and I am on the same level of medication. I take Sinemet 10/100 1 to 2 times a day and some days I take no sinemet I feel like I’m staying stable and some of my symptoms have dissipated. I also fast walk three times a week.
