As far as I have studied Ayurveda on Parkinson's treatment, it recommends three herbs 1. Mucuna 2. Bacopa 3. Ashwagandha. Apart from oral medication it recommends massage with specific oils.

will take a look & give you my thoughts, but what might be of some related interest is that Ambroxol is derived from a plant named Adhatoda Vasica, which has been used in ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years for a whole host of indications, link below:

Agree that highly probable that PD starts in the gut as their approach suggests:

"Thus, the initial site of Parkinson’s Disease may very well be the lower gastrointestinal tract—which just happens to also be the site of Vata vishesha sthana, where Ayurveda declares this condition originates"..in my case besides a genetic predisposition toward PD, I have a somewhat compromised liver function and a gut disease called Crohn's (in a mild form)

Chinese & Ayurvedic medicines in agreement on that gut point:

Current research on how this is transmitted from the gut to the brain via the vagus nerve:

technologynetworks.com/neur...

Consistent with Ambroxol research postulation that once transmitted, increased α-synuclein accumulation is the likely culprit:

jamanetwork.com/journals/ja...

As far as I know, Ambroxol is the only pretty safe and currently available medicine to potentially reduce α-synuclein accumulation, so their approach appears to be supportive of my Ambroxol utilization - since it is working for me, I would agree!

So can we do something to help our gut and vagus nerve transmission as well? yes

short of severing our vagus nerve (which someday may be a treatment option), I'm trying a probiotic, N-acetyl-cysteine, and glutathione (although this last orally poorly absorbed)

I am getting relief from Maharasnadi liquid with Guggul (kwath, kadha, kashaya are all the same). Been taking 10ml AM empty stomach and 10ml before sleeping.

Cons: Some gas which passes easily

Pros: Deeper voice, noticeably better speech and response times, slightly faster actions.

I don't endorse any brand. All have the same composition. Image is only for reference.
